You cannot love another until you love yourself first. Period. Be happy with you are; Take the time to be honest with yourself and the choices you make; explore the dark side; explore the bright side; determine who you are at your core...the core. Yes, the core. That very sensitive, safely hidden, protected region where you'll find yourself. Over and over again.

Eloquently put. Incredibly poignant. There's a familiar song, "Sometimes love, just ain't enough." I tend to seriously disagree; but it must start on the inside - the only place from which true love can generate and then flourish. I often wonder, why does this society seem to discourage the kind of fearless search you speak of, for one's core, for their authenticity? There are scores (ok, millions!) of self-help products available, but we still live in a world that in a practical sense does not reflect the importance of this courageous journey inside. Ironic, though, because I honestly believe that if more people could find their way to their core and accept it, we'd live in a totally different place.
I appreciate your dedication to awareness and exploration of this topic :-)
